I have an old edition of SkyX, ie the user manual has a copyright date of 2008. When I select (as per the user manual) 'Input' in order to change the default location lat/long, the software simply kicks me out, Should I upgrade this edition of software or should I look at purchasing the SkyXProfessional?

Hi I am trying to use my myt mount for the first time and trying to connect it to my laptop.
I am using a macbook pro running Sierra 10.12.5. I have the latest version of the sky installed as of July 11th 2017 using the daily build installer.
The sky X reports a driver version of 1.990, firmware version <not available>, driver information MKSDriver Object, Device name Paramount MYT.
If I go to the apple symbol in the upper left hand corner, click on about this mac then system report, I do not see anything show up under USB, nor do I see a space for com ports. I have confirmed that the USB cord works. I have tried different cords. The mount turns on and is movable with the hand paddle.
When I try to connect to the mount I get error code 201, which means something is wrong with the serial-to-usb software. However, I didn't see that as a downloadable option on the website. Any help that can be offered would be highly appreciated!

since today, my mks4000 says that it cannot connect to my paramount ME.
1 year ago, the usb input got out of order.
so i switched to the com input with an adapter. this worked fine until today.
second promlem:
i bought a licence but are not allowed to download the newest file. i use only the PC in the labaratory and this is not funny to pay and not to be able to download.
1 month ago i asked about this problem - no answer.
here is a center with 1500 students, 24 teachers in the labaratory and ist not workiung.
no fun.

Hi I need assistance on two things. I have a QSI683 camera and need to figure out which cable to get to get the power through mount and what is required (Additional fittings etc) in order to complete.
I also wanted to discuss with someone on the scope hitting pier. I was doing one of my first sessions last night and when I got up in middle of night the scope was against pier. It seems to work but need to see if there is a way to test to make sure ok. I see under Bisque TCS there are adjustments I can make and just briefly want to see if there is something else I need to do to prevent this again

As I start first my system and then TheSky X SA, the graph of the Skychart suddenly is not the same as before.
The day before it was in 3-D. Now the sky Chart looks like it was drawn by an artist, all very graphic!
And when I wanted to start it in 3D like before, an Error732 (see the screenshot) is called.
What can do?!
Is it a Problem of drivers?! Or of Java? My Java is "Java 8 Update 131 (64-bit).

I had a problem with the MKS5000 and brought the MYT to Golden. Sara(h) greeted me and she and Donald took care of the board while I waited. They tested the system and made sure everything was working properly. Sara(h) showed me the problem on the old board. As I was sitting in the reception area several people walked by and made sure I was being taken care of. Software Bisque service is fantastic. Thank you. John Walton

I use both a Mac and a pc for astronomy. I plan my observing sessions inside using my Mac and then use a windows laptop to control my scope.
If I purchase the Mac version of TheSkyX, can I download the windows version as well?

Hello, I purchased a Celestron AVX mount recently and it came with your SkyX First Light software. I am interested in adding telescope control so I know I need to upgrade to SkyX Serious Astronomer Edition. I am not sure if the Upgrade Version will work. Your site says "You must own a registered software license or have a valid serial number from an older version...". The SkyX First Light has a valid serial number but says its registered to "Telescope Owner" and will not let me register it to my Software Bisque account.
So could you advise me on which one I must purchase; Full or Upgrade

I currently have a JMI Motofocus focuser that I am using on my Takahashi Sky 90.
Looking to purchase the Paramount MYT and wonder will I be able to use this focuser using the The SkyX and MYT mount?
I emailed JMI and they replied as follows:
"The motor itself is just a DC motor with 1/8" (3.5mm) mono jack, so to control it via ASCOM you would need the PCFC box as the USB interface, unless the Paramount can do it without the interface".
There appears to be a 3.5mm mono jack on the MYT, but I have no idea whether or not it will be able to control the focuser.
Their PCFC box is simply a interface box with a USB cable attached. I know that would work, but hten why is there a jack on the MYT?
Any help clearing this up for me would be appreciated.

Does TheSky allow exporting observing lists to Skysafari? It is a .skylist file.
So I just ordered an MX+ a few days ago and while I'm waiting for it to arrive I thought it would be fun to install TheSkyX on my Raspberry. Unfortunately when I try to do so the site gives me an access denied error. I believe the MX+ comes with the Multi-OS and Six License add on that includes the Raspberry Pi build correct?

My computer died. I am trying to load SkyX to new computer. I have my original disk with SN. The disk is labeled as "Professional Edition". The results from the load is "Sirius Edition". I need help getting the Professional on the new computer.
I have down loaded the installer. I've downloaded Professional Edition. NO JOY!!step

I'm trying to get my new remote observatory up and running. For communication I use TeamViewer. I get contact With the Remote PC. Other programs like Maxim DL 6 opens normally, but SkyX only shows the first line. The rest of the screen is white. The information in the screen is there. If you hover the curser over the screen both menus and information from the star chart can be accessed. The operator in the Remote end says the screen looks normal. Is this a TeamViewer issue or is it a setting in SkyX that I have to change?

Why there is not a warm up temperature for the camera in thesky x pro ?
How do you get and install the camera add on?
We have a Paramount ME mount running with a Win 7 machine and TheSkyX Professional. It connects to the computer just fine using the USB to Bisque TCS connector behind the fuse panel. We had been running the mount with this same computer until this past summer via serial cable and COM Port, but when we tried to connect yesterday via the serial port, we got a 203 error. We have tried everything we can think of as far as making sure the computer's com ports are working. We tried switching the dome controller to all of the different COM ports and it worked just fine. Might you have any suggestions. Thanks.
