Please provide the URL for version 1.93 of the Paramount Robotic Telescope System User Guide (the

same one I have the hardcopy for when I bought the MX+ last year) so that I can cut and paste specific instructions into a text document to take out to the observatory.

Also if there is any later version I would like to see that also.

HI,

My SkyX Serious for MAC license is registered.  The website recognizes who I am, and my subscription is current (software is only days old).  Access to the update download is repeatedly denied.

What to do?  Thanks.

TheSkyX Professional Edition Camera Add On Canon EOS T6S support

Hi,

I was ready to pull the trigger and buy TheSkyX Proffesional with the Camera Add On but I have a Canon EOS Rebel T6S (760D) which uses DIGIC 6 for signal processing.  On TheSkyX Professional Edition Camera Add On support page it says that The Camera Add On supports Digic III, IV and V model Canon EOS cameras.  There is no mention of Digic 6.  I assume that my camera is not supported, if this is correct, are there plans to extend support to Digic 6?

Thank you for your support,

Carlos

Daylight Savings Time Incorrect

Hi,

I have noticed that the daylight savings time is incorrectly displayed in my version of TheSkyX Professional. I am in New Zealand and I have set the time zone correctly to +12 hours, but the time is still displayed as STD and is one hour behind the actual time shown on the computer screen. New Zealand has switched to DST from September 25th (last Sunday in September). I have also found by selecting a time in the future in TheSkyX that the correct DST will be displayed from October 2nd. Does the software assume that the daylight change in New Zealand happens on the first Sunday in October? If so, this is incorrect. This was the case until 2007, but it was changed since then.

Is there a way to change this in the settings, or do I have to wait until the bug is fixed in the next version of the software?

Regards,

Jovan

Complete configuration of a Taurus mount to support a Planewave CDK 17"

Hello,

I am currently using a Planewave CDK 17" mounted on a Mathis equatorial fork mount MI 500/750 with SiTech Servo 2 controller. My current mount does not have mount homing or high resolution Renishaw encoders. My observatory is installed in the South of France, but I live in Belgium.

I have decided to buy a new mount, and I am considering the Taurus 400 with optional on axis encoders.

Could you tell me:

1) The full configuration I would need

2) The total price and delivery time for this

3) A very preliminary and crude idea of the delivery costs to Belgium or France

Friendly regards

The US Naval Observatory has TheSkyX licensed as part of a universal subscription, serial number

{removed}.

The yearly maintenance was apparently paid on 7/27/2016 with po number n6-16-63.

I am the user, and wish to download the new "daily build".

The software was origionally assigned to Brenda Hicks, our departmental secretary. The person who

renewed the software is Taunya Martin, who I don't think has an account.

Under Brenda Hick's account, the license is listed as "disabled", with an expiration date of 7/23/2016.

How should we proceed with this? Should I be listed as the contact, since I'm the one actually downloading

and installing the software? Should Brenda Hick's account be listed? Does Taunya Martin need

an account? I'd actually prefer to avoid that last one, since while Brenda Hicks and I work in the same

department, Taunya Martin works in a different department.

What would you advise?

A necessary driver was not found. Error = 217

Hi, I've been having trouble getting a 60Da working on the 90-day camera add-on after a fresh disk install on Win7.

A necessary driver was not found. Error = 217

I've followed the instructions in a previous post of exiting TSX-P, deleting the ImagingSystem.ini file, restarting the TSX-P, and I get the same thing.  The EOS software was loaded and registered prior.  The drivers load when I connect the camera to the laptop but this appears to be a TSX-P missing driver problem since they are supposed to be included in 10.3.0 build 8461 straight off the cd rom disk.  This was a fresh disk install onto a Win7 laptop 64-bit.

Thanks, Steven

Daylight Savings Time Change for Santiago Chile

Chile Summer time started Aug 14th 2016 (spring forward to -3 hour from UTC) . I am trying to setup Slooh Chile location and it shows -4 from UTC with the DSO option in SkyX set to Chile. The other Slooh location in the Canary Is. work fine. And my location in Nevada works well (BTW, love the desert horizon:) Is it possible to change the DSO setting myself? Probably a spring forward/back issue (usually the case with Southern Hemisphere locations.) Regds to  all... Wayne

TPoint Add-On

Hi All

I am subscribed to SkyX Professional and have also purchased the T-Point AddOn.  I  am in the process of setting it up for my scopes.

I have 2 scopes permanently mounted in my private 15' observatory - a 127 mm Explore Scientific refractor and a Celestron C-11 reflector.

Question:  Does my T-Point AddOn purchase allow me to use T-Point on both scopes, or is a separate subscription/purchase required for each?

Thanks.  Software is great, by the way.

Scripting Separate Autoguider

$

Greetings,

I a in the process of writing a VB app to control TheSkyX.  I have successfully coded the dome, Camera and focuser to connect upon launching TheSkyX.  I cannot however get the Orion SSAG to connect with code.  Manually, withinTheSkyX, I can connect with no problem.

To connect the camera (an STF-8300) I use the following code within the app:

Dim objSkyCam as Object

objSkyCam = CreateObject("CCDSoft2XAdaptor.ccdsoft5Camera")

objSkyCam.Connect()

objSkyCam.focConnect()

This works fine.  Now, how do I connect the autoguider?  I believe I need to define a new object and create another instance of ccdsoft5camera.  But I need to tell the object that this applies to the SSAG instead of the STF-8300.  There is a (integer) property of ccdsoftcamera named Autoguide that holds whether the object is an autoguider (if not = 0) or is the imager (if = 0).  But I cannot get that property to work as it throws a "There is no connection for this connection ID" error.

The scripting documentation references a ccdsoftCamera object and also a ccdSoft2XAdaptor.ccdsoft5Camera program ID.  Are these separate entities or is the latter the updated version ofthe former?  Is there a syntax I need to follow to define the autopguider?

I am using TheSkyX v10.5.0 (Build 10229) with the Camera Add-on, the native SBIG driver for the imager and the ASCOM driver for the SSAG.  Again, the autoguider will connect manually without issue but not from code.

Thanks, Marc

Load disc

Hi Bisque Bros.,

Bought a brand new HP computer , requested with Windows 7, as I did not want Windows 10 anymore.

I have the disc:  Serial #{removed}, but cannot seem to load it.  I have used this disc on prior computers (in observatory, home).  Is there a limit as to how many times I can download it?

Advice?

TPoint Selected manually

I have  a A-P mount 1100gto, which I was using with Theskyx and Tpoint to collect pointing calibration data automatically, it was slewing to it selected stars and created its super model, but recently I tried twice and the selection of stars is totally out not finding any of the stars selected automatically.

My polar alignment  is very good as its a permanent mount and I looked at it weekly. My question is how to a select manually the stars and if the stars are out , what steps do I take to slew to it proper position and calibrate the mount with the TheskyX???

Thanks

Hello Software Bisque:  my mid-2012 Macbook Intel Retina Pro is stone dead (I was foolish enough to install Sierra) and I am not going to have it repaired.

1. Please remind me which version of The Sky I've subscribed to.

2. Will it run on an Apple iPad and can it  control my Takahashi EM-200 mount as the Macbook could?

(I have no idea why the font switched to italic!)

Thanks!
