Does the Camera Add On (and auto guiding) interface with a Pt Grey Grasshopper 3 video camera when I'm running SkyX Professional under Windows? (My interpretation of the chart in the user manual is that video cameras are only supported under Mac OS, but I'm hoping this is now out of date and they are supported under windows!)

question re: tripods with MyT
Hi: I have an MX+ mount with portable tripod, but i'm hauling equipment between 2 locations.
I'd like to get a 2nd tripod to leave at the remote site. I'm also strongly considering a MyT purchase for the smaller scope in the very near future..and leaving the MX+ for the 11" scope.
Is there any issue with putting a MyT mount on the MX tripod? Is there a special adapter plate needed? Having the same tripod in both locations would help.

TSK will not render correctly
I have been using my new upgrade to TSX for a couple weeks, no problem. Really a program. I was in Show Day Light mode. Tried to switch to out and I got an error message regarding the Video card or driver. It said it had recovered but the screen is definitely not working correctly, I rebooted did not help. I uninstalled TSX and re installed, still very poor screen. For example no constellations, lots of other no function graphical things. Do not understand why it work super for a long time and now its pretty bad visually. Not a clue on my part on how to recover. A interesting point....when I re installed TSX it did not ask for a lic code. Could this mean it really did not completely un install. Oh and I did do the OpenGL test and passed.

my new MX+ isnt working
ok, im new to theskyx but ive been reading all the instructions.
I can connect the mount, I select the correct com number for the software bisque. and then connect the mount. it says not homed.
when I try to home it it always disconnects and says error poor connection, connection automatically terminated. error 213
and another window pops up and says:
receive time-out.COMM_TIMEOUT. Error 21002
after messing around for a while, sometimes the mount wont even connect in the first place, when I try to connect it says error 203 no connection or poor connection, I forgot.
I doubt its a bad cable, and I doubt there is anything wrong with my usb ports. but I don't see what else it could be. help me please.

Paramount ME control board options

I am planning on purchasing a second-hand Paramount ME with what I believe is the MKS-3000 control board. I have a couple of questions regarding the control board.
1. Will the software that shipped with the MKS 3000 version of the mount work on 64 bit Windows 7?
2. Will The Sky X Pro that runs on Windows 7 control the MKS 3000 system?
3. Will the newer MKS 5000 control board work on the Paramount ME if I choose to upgrade?

10Micron HPS series mount & The Sky X Pro
Hi.
I Would known if the 10 Micron HPS series mount are supported by your software.
I don't find it in the list of the mounts.
They can be controlled via ethernet and also with LX200 protocol.

Pier question
I am in the process of planning a remote observatory with 2 piers. One for Paramount MX pier, the other for ME II. What is the optimal cement base width for these? Is there any advantage to going wider than the minimum recommended? What is the optimal depth for the cement footing? I would imagine that depends on weight but assuming the maximum payload for ME II. Can you use a vibration damping material such as sorbethane (only about 1/8" thick) instead of plywood for vibration damping?

Firmware Updates
Dear Sir,
From what I can understand by reading "The Paramount Robotic Telescope System User Guide" documentation.
Updates should only be performed if "Help/Check for Updates" indicates that an update ought to be applied.
The fact that a later release number for "MKS 5000 Latest Windows Firmware Installer.exe" is available, does not suggest that it ought to be applied to that hardware.
Is this correct?

Unable to download Full Installer of The Sky X Pro
I have been using The Sky X for several years. Recently, my laptop computer crashed and had to be reset completely. When I tried to download the full installer from your site, I was requested to enter my serial number. However, when I did that, I was told that it was already registered. What do I have to do to get the Full Installer for The Sky X Pro?

I have just placed an order for a new Paramount MYT mount with Anacortes in WA. While waiting for it to arrive in 30 days, is there a trial/demo version of TheSky Pro that can be downloaded? Was hoping to start getting familiar with it as I am transitioning over from Maxim.
