I acquired a 20" 640 tooth Byers RA worm gear and a 15" 360 tooth Dec gear. I'm building a fork mount to carry a 16" RC telescope. Would the Standard TCS be adequate for driving the 20" gear and mount with a 16" telescope?
If you say yes it would be adequate for the 16" telescope, would it still be sufficient if down the road we replaced the 16" RC with a 20" RC telescope. I'm taking into account that using a 20" gear with a worm located at a 10" distance from the RA axis center, should require a motor with a lower torque rating to turn the worm. Am I correct in my assumption?
Cheers,
Paul
