Does the Paramount MyT interface to the computer (USB) appear to the PC as a local serial port?
Presuming a PC to be located at the mount, connected to the MyT, can a serial port to TCP/IP server be used on the PC at the mount to connect via Ethernet to a remote machine running a TCP/IP-serial client software so as to allow the remote computer running TheSkyX to operate the mount. This would allow the remote control of the mount to be via TheSkyX running on the remote machine with only light Ethernet traffic to the PC at the mount.
Just install new Windows 10 update. I am no longer able to connect my Apogee Aspen CG16M usinf The Sky Pro, CAMERA. the error=215 appear. I first check the USB cable connected directly from the CG16M USB port to my IPC3 computer, it did not work. I then tried 3 different cables with the same result. I closed the IPC3 and restarted it several time with the same result: ERROR = 215. I tried reintallint the Appogee drivers, same results.

I have had my MX for some years. Now I find that there is considerable looseness in that axis. I can't seem to remember the instructions for exactly the proceedure to remedy this. I remember removing the "box" and working with the plunger and a few other things but the details escape me. Is there a video or print out I can access for this repair?
Many Thanks,

Right now I have TheSkyX Pro. V.5.2.
Do I need to upgrade?
Hi all,
I would really love to use @Focus3 but haven’t figured out how to enable it. All Google results for this didn’t help. I have the most recent version of TSX Pro.
Many thanks,
Karol
Hello,
I'm looking at buying the Sky X (not sure which edition, yet). I've got a Meade LX90, a Meade zero-shift micro-focuser, a Canon EOS 750D (for imaging), A Meade DSI (for guiding), as well as Explore Scientific ED80 refractor (piggy-backed onto the LX90). I'd like to be able to switch between the two scopes for optional guiding/imaging roles (depending on my preferred FOV).
Are all of the above supported by the Sky X?
Many thanks, in advance.

Hello are there any plans to offer usb 3.0 and Thunderbolt 3 support for the Myt or any of the other mounts?
Is it possible to pull and swap out the existing hardware for an upgrade?
Can I renew an expired Sky X subscription?
Our club has 6 licenses for the Sky 10. I have one of those licenses. My previous laptop crashed with it installed on it, How do I reinstall on my new laptop, without using one of the other licenses.
Thanks,
Scott Conner
I tried to download the software, but it says access denied. when I try to register the software, it says it is already registered. Our club has 6 licenses, Can it only be registered 1 time? I am the one who registered it initially. How do I download and reinstall my software.
Thanks,
Scott Conner
Dear Sir/Madam,
A few years ago I bought and installed TheSkyX Student edition, and have most recently renewed my subscription last month. Now I have a new PC (laptop, Windows 10). How do I install TheSkyX on my new PC with my extant subscription.
Best,

Dear SB:
I have been given an oppotunity to purchase a good condition Paramount ME I mount.
I was wondering what type of support exists for the ME as far as repair, maintenance and upgrades.
the mount will be used with a C14HD and 0.7X reducer which I think the mount will handle like nothing’s there.
Any suggestions? Tips?
The mount has been sitting in storage for at least a year in AC.
Thanks, Roger
so I think I understand that with the MyT and Mx+ you can start tracking an object in the eastern sky and track through 2 hours past the meridian, unless you set a limit earlier than that for instance to prevent damage.
question, can you slew to an object 2 hours !ahead! of the meridian and track through zenith until local horizon limit in the west? I want to do that to avoid a meridian flip in the middle of an important sequence.
Hi
I have been doing live viewing using Starlight Live on my Mac but am looking for a software package to do both live viewing and learn AP on a Mac. I use an Astro-Physics Mount. Which version of SkyX would you recommend to start out with?
Thank you,
Bruce
Hello,
I have a Paramount ME Equatorial mount purchased in early 2011. It worked well so far and I did not have any problems, but I have just ordered the MKS 5000 upgrade kit. I bought it because of convenience such as USB port or power cord for CCD camera, but I am not sure whether it is a more worthy choice compared to the MKS 4000. What are the advantages compared to the MKS 4000?
And I watched your video for worm gear lubrication. In this YouTube video, Molykote 33 or No. 105 is recommended. Unfortunately, here in South Korea, both are not sold. Are there another alternatives?
I’ve been trying to do my due diligence before committing to buy a MyT. In this and other forums I’ve seen people talk about their RA or DEC worm gear needing replacement every 1 or 2 years.
is this a normal part of maintenance for an Paramount?
can this be avoided with proper care/ lubrication?
The Dec Axis has a fair bit of Versa Plate movement when I move it back and forth by hand (as opposed to the RA axis which is tight). I have adjusted the Dec Spring Plunger and Cam stop according to instructions. When I make it too tight there is still there is a little less movement but the Dec axis will not drive. I taped a piece of paper (with a pencil mark) to the mount to show the movement. See attached files.
I am only a beginner with this well engineered mount. Obviously I think that the DEC axis should not have that much play. Please give me some suggestions or test that I could run.
Thank you,
